Are People Dying From The Covid Vaccine

A 70% Increased Risk Of Death For Pregnant People Who Catch Covid

COVID-19 vaccine | 28 people died after taking jab

The CDC says pregnant people who catch a symptomatic case of COVID-19 have a two-fold risk of admission to intensive care, and a 70% increased risk of death, compared to those who are not expecting.;

Despite that, only about a third of pregnant people have been vaccinated, with percentages varying widely across ethnic groups, from 45.7% of Asians, to 15.6% of Black people who are pregnant.

Misinformation about the vaccines being tied to infertility has been rampant during the pandemic. The truth is that COVID-19 vaccines are safe for people who are or who want to become pregnant, and the benefits of vaccination to pregnant people outweigh potential risks.;;

As of Monday, more than 22,000 pregnant people have been hospitalized and 161 have died of COVID-19 during the pandemic, according to CDC estimates.;

Getting vaccinated can help prevent many infections among pregnant people entirely. According to;one Israeli study conducted in the spring of 2021, Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine lowered the risk of infection by 78% among more than 7,500 pregnant women.

And vaccinating pregnant people isn’t just good for the adults in the room. Many studies have also shown that newborn babies can benefit from their mother’s vaccination, deriving COVID-fighting antibodies in the womb that the little ones then carry with them after birth.

Fully Vaccinated Florida Covid

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. Patricia Seemann runs her own medical practice in St. Cloud, providing health care services to homebound patients.

She said, up until two weeks ago, she was able to successfully treat every patient who contracted COVID-19. But, since then, she said seven fully vaccinated patients died from complications, such as pneumonia or stroke, caused by the virus.

They were all fully vaccinated, which was disturbing For one, I got to the hospital, the initial report, he was doing well. 2 liters of oxygen, sitting up, good saturation rate, crashed in 72 hours and died, Seemann said.

She said the vaccine isnt 100 percent effective and there is a 4 percent chance of failure, but she still recommends it.

We explain when I give the vaccine, Look, this is not 100%, but in life, you have to give yourself the best possible odds, Seemann said.

She also recommends continuing to properly wear a mask, washing your hands and making sure you dont pick up droplets from other people.

She especially recommends these tasks for those 65-and-older or with underlying health conditions.

Dr. Aftab Khan, an internal medicine physician, said, despite these seven cases, dying from COVID-19 while fully vaccinated is rare.

Out of 6,500 patients, only 0.004 percent people were hospitalized and only a very small fraction of people, 0.001 percent people died who were fully vaccinated, Khan said.

Fact: Vaccine Developers Didnt Skip Any Testing Steps But Conducted Some Of The Steps On An Overlapping Schedule To Gather Data Fasterjohns Hopkins Medicine

Assoumou: This is the most common question I get asked. I think there is a perception that things moved very fast, but we want to underscore that the technology being used now was being studied for a decade. The main difference between emergency use versus full FDA approval is that you need two months of monitoring rather than six months. When you look at the history of vaccines, if patients were to develop side effects, these occurred within two months. We are now over six months into our experience with these vaccines. We have not seen anything that would make us believe that the risks outweigh the benefits. And vaccines have saved so many lives.

Hamer: The development was more rapid than many other vaccines. But it used the same process of phase one and phase two trials following appropriate safety measures. Stage three trials were large-scale trials done rigorously with very clear outcome definitions. The safety measures and approaches taken are standard for clinical trials. They just did it more rapidly than usual. The full process review is ongoing and we are already hearing that Pfizer will have full FDA authorization by September and Moderna soon after.

MYTH:The technology used to create the COVID vaccines is too new to be safe.

I Am A Biologist: This Is How People Will Be Confused About The Coronavirus Vaccines And Their Side Effects

The elderly will die of natural causes and other ailments just as they always have, regardless of the vaccine. The problem is when those two are confused for cause and effect.

People are going to die after getting a coronavirus vaccine, even if it is 100% safe. This is not conjecture. It is, unfortunately, a statistical inevitability. Let me explain.

In the United States, before the pandemic, an average of about two million people over the age of sixty-five died annually. These deaths were, of course, from an assortment of causes, including heart disease, cancer, and old age. Given that the U.S. has a population of about fifty-one million over sixty-five, this means roughly 4% of such individuals die each year, irrespective of the coronavirus.

So, what will happen once everyone starts getting a coronavirus vaccine? Will these deaths suddenly stop? Of course not. In fact, assuming that everyone over the age of sixty-five gets vaccinated over the course of a year, we can do simple statistics to make some important predictions.

Now, what do you think will happen when Americans, especially those unversed in science or medicine, start reporting that their parent or grandparent perished a day or a few days after receiving a coronavirus vaccine? Thats right, people will naturally assume the vaccine;caused;death. Given the maelstrom of misinformation and confusion we have already seen in this pandemic, mass vaccination will only become that much more difficult.

Fact: Studies Have Shown That A Person Infected With The Delta Variant Of Covid Has Roughly 1000 Times More Copies Of The Virus In Their Respiratory Tracts Than A Person Infected With The Original Straincdc Delta Variant: What We Know About The Science

UK

Hamer: The challenge is that Delta is so transmissible that I am starting to advise people to wear masks again in supermarkets and stores and public places. But Delta is causing outbreaks mostly in unvaccinated people and only in some vaccinated people. Until we get to the point where transmission slows to a trickle, Delta is just more easily spread, and we are quickly learning that it can easily lead to vaccine breakthroughs and even be spread from one vaccinated person to another.;

Assoumou: The vaccines are safe, and remarkably effective. But what precautions to take will decide on a lot of factors. For example, where you live. Are you in a place with high vaccination coverage, like Massachusetts, or a southern state with low vaccination coverage and high case rate. It also depends on what activity you are engaging in. Outside not in a crowd, thats safe. You dont need a mask, but inside in a crowd where you dont know who is vaccinated or unvaccinated, then you may still want to follow public health measures. If you have children less than 12, like I do, then you also need to be a little more cautious. In addition, if you have a compromised immune system, then you also need to take some precautions. If you happen to be in a place with high vaccination coverage and a lower case rate, then it might depend on your level of comfort for risk.

I do want to remind people there are still places we should mask up, like the doctors office or on public transportation.

Fda Warns Against Use Of Animal Dewormer As Covid

Health officials are warning against using a drug called;ivermectin;for unapproved use as a medicine to prevent or treat COVID-19.;The drug, which has been approved only as an anti-parasitic;treatment for humans and animals, such as livestock and horses, has been the subject of a spike in calls to the;Mississippi Poison Control Center.;

The drugs produced for humans are different than what’s made for livestock,;which is “highly concentrated and is;toxic to people, and can cause serious harm,” the Mississippi State Department of Health said in an alert Monday.;At least two people have been;hospitalized with potential ivermectin toxicity after ingesting the drug produced for livestock, the state’s poison control center said Monday.

Interest in the drug is rising as;the delta variant of the coronavirus has spurred higher COVID-19 transmission rates;and increased concern among the vaccinated about becoming infected.

Multiple reports of patients treated or hospitalized after “self-medicating with ivermectin intended for horses”;led the FDA to issue a warning Friday. “You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it,” . ;;

Fda Approval Will Be A ‘much Bigger Deal’ Than Some Believe

Will the FDA’s full approval of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine persuade the nearly 30% of eligible Americans still declining to get the shot?

Certainly not all will come around willingly, but those who remain unconvinced will face increased challenges, starting with the growing number of employers that will now require inoculations. That includes the 2.1 million members of the U.S. military and National Guard, in addition to federal workers and employees for many companies and government entities.

The FDA’s clearance will also prompt more businesses like bars,;restaurants and sports teams to require proof of vaccination for admittance.

“Full approval will be a much bigger deal than people think,”;said Dr. Robert Murphy, executive director of the Institute for Global Health at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.;

As Adult Icu Patients Hit Record Highs For The Pandemic New Report Shows Unvaccinated People Are More Than 15 Times More Likely To Die From Covid

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services yesterday released new data in the weekly respiratory surveillance report showing that unvaccinated people were 15.4 times, or 1,540 percent, more likely to die from COVID-19 during the four-week period ending Aug. 21, 2021. This comes as the state hit a pandemic high on Aug. 26 with 912 adults in the ICU with COVID-19. The number of COVID-19 patients on ventilators also reached a record high at 574.

This weeks respiratory surveillance report is the first to provide age-adjusted death rate data for COVID-19. Adjusting for age is a way to make fairer comparisons between vaccinated and unvaccinated people because the vaccinated population is older than the unvaccinated population and older people are more likely to die from COVID-19. Data is preliminary and is subject to change as additional cases and deaths are reported.

During the week ending Aug. 21, 2021, unvaccinated people were also 4.4 times, or 440 percent, more likely to catch COVID-19 than vaccinated people. The difference between vaccinated and unvaccinated teens was even greater during the week ending Aug. 21, 2021, with unvaccinated people aged 12 to 17 being 6.3 times, or 630 percent, more likely to get COVID-19 than vaccinated people in the same age group.

Moderna Vaccine Is Most Effective Says Another Study The Largest To Date In Us To Assess Real

‘People dying from COVID-19 in countries with fast vaccine rollouts’: Rennick

Why?

Follow this story and more bysigning up for national breaking news email alerts.

People who were not fully vaccinated this spring and summerwere more than 10 times more likely to be hospitalized, and 11 times more likely to die of covid-19, than those who were fully vaccinated, according to one of three major studies published Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that highlight the continued efficacy of all three vaccines amid the spread of the highly contagious delta variant.

A second study showed that the Moderna coronavirus vaccine was more effective inpreventing hospitalizations than its counterparts from Pfizer-BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson. That assessment was based on the largest U.S. study to date of the real-world effectiveness of all three vaccines, involving about 32,000 patients seen in hospitals, emergency departments and urgent-care clinics across nine states from June through early August.

While the three vaccines were collectively 86 percenteffective in preventing hospitalization, protection was significantly higher among Moderna vaccine recipients than among those who got Pfizer-BioNTech or Johnson & Johnson . That finding echoes a smaller study by the Mayo Clinic Health System in August, not yet peer-reviewed, which showed the Moderna vaccine to be more effective than Pfizer-BioNTech at preventing infections during the delta wave.

Report: More Vaccine Deaths Last Week Than Covid

‘The fact that they’re offering money to take, tells me that something is wrong’

By;Art Moore;WND News Center

In a span of one week, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 vaccines reported to the governments database outnumbered the official count of deaths due to the virus.

The governments Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS, contains voluntary, unverified reports of adverse events following immunization with U.S.-licensed vaccines. But its;estimated that only between 1% and 10% of the adverse events that occur are reported to VAERS.

The Gateway Pundit noted;VAERS reported 2,043 vaccine deaths in the week prior to July 7 compared to 1,505 COVID-19 deaths.

A Morning Consult poll released earlier this month,;Breitbart News reported, showed 49% of Americans who are vaccine hesitant cite safety concerns and a lack of trust in vaccines that were developed in one year while the process normally takes 10 to 15 years.

One respondent to the survey said, The fact that theyre offering money to take, tells me that something is wrong.

Another chose not to be vaccinated because of the way the media and government are pushing it.

On Monday,;the Washington Post reported the FDA is preparing to announce a new warning for the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine because it has been linked to a serious but rare side effect called Guillain-Barré syndrome.

A Guide To Understanding The New Dashboard

What is relative;risk;and why it matters;

Relative risk means;we compare;the risks;for;COVID-19 infection, hospitalization,;and death in;unvaccinated people;relative;to;vaccinated people.;;

The boxes in the dashboards top line show the relative risk of infection , hospitalization,;and death for unvaccinated people, compared with those who are fully vaccinated. For example, in the month leading up to August 26, unvaccinated people;in King County;were:;;

  • 7;times more likely to test positive for COVID-19;than vaccinated people;;
  • 49;times more likely to be hospitalized;than vaccinated people;;
  • 32 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than vaccinated people.;;

We look at relative risk because the number of people who are vaccinated is not the same as the number who;are;not fully vaccinated.;The two groups are not the same size, so a raw;count;or percentage;of breakthrough cases doesnt tell us much about how;one groups risk compares with the;other.;By comparing the;rates;among vaccinated people with the;rates;among unvaccinated people, we see that the risks from COVID-19 are far higher if you are not fully vaccinated.;;

With;more than two-thirds;of King Countys population fully vaccinated, breakthrough infections are expected. But the dashboard shows;the;risk;of developing COVID-19 infection, especially a severe COVID-19 infection,;is much higher;for unvaccinated;people.;

Why we are;adjusting for;age;;

Rate;over;time;

The Rate;over;time graphs show that difference starkly.;;

Know The Facts About Ivermectin

Ivermectin has become a hot topic in recent months. Encouraged by claims that it is an effective treatment for COVID-19, people are asking their doctors for prescriptions of the anti-parasitic drug and in some cases taking a version of the medication intended for animals.

Heres what you need to know about ivermectin.

Ivermectin tablets have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat people with certain parasitic infections, and an ivermectin solution is approved to treat people with head lice and rosacea. Another version and higher dosage of the drug is approved for use in animals as a de-wormer.

It has been hypothesized that ivermectin could slow or stop the novel coronavirus from replicating inside the human body. So far, clinical trials that have tested ivermectins ability to prevent or treat COVID-19 have not convinced major public health organizations that the drug should be used for those purposes. More studies are ongoing.

With COVID-19, many medications have been under evaluation to determine any potential use and potential efficacy, but we need more data before we use something like ivermectin for COVID-19, said Christian Rojas Moreno, MD, an MU Health Care infectious disease doctor. The National Institutes of Health and societies for infectious diseases are not endorsing the use of ivermectin at any dose at this point for routine use in COVID-19.

Is It True You Dont Have To Wear A Mask If You Get The Covid

Black Americans lagging behind in COVID

It is fiction now. It may become fact, eventually, when more and more people are vaccinated. When we get closer to herd immunity, you likely will see the public health authorities relax those mass mask restrictions, Adalja said.

The big issue here for why scientists still want you to wear a mask has to do with research.

Initial vaccine studies only looked at whether patients got COVID-19 symptoms, not whether they got asymptomatic cases. So, studies are now underway on people who got the vaccine to determine if some are getting mild cases of COVID-19 and dont have symptoms.

Most of us in the field believe this is a very unlikely possibility, that the vaccine is likely to provide an ability to decrease spread as well as decreased symptomatic disease. So, we will likely see these types of recommendations change over time as we get more data, Adalja said.

At least for now, even if you get the vaccine, medical professionals still want you to keep wearing masks.

Cdc Director Walensky Warns Of ‘pandemic Of The Unvaccinated’

This is the same population that has been more vulnerable to the most dire consequences of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

It’s a trend that’s been seen outside of the United States as well.

Dr. Tal Brosh, who heads the infectious disease unit at Assuta Ashdod University Hospital in Israel, has noted that breakthrough infections tend to be more serious among those with underlying conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes and kidney disease.

“If you’re vaccinated and you have a lot of co-morbidities or you are immunocompromised, you are not that well protected as someone else who is vaccinated,” Brosh said.

Immunocompromised patients can include people who were already taking medications to suppress their immune system following an organ transplant or cancer diagnosis.

Such breakthrough infections do not mean the vaccines are not working. No vaccine is 100 percent effective against infection.

Though the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention initially tracked all breakthrough infections, as of May 1 the agency shifted to only tracking those linked to hospitalization or death. At that point, its tally had topped 10,000.

But NBC News found that many states continued to track all breakthrough infections, with 27 states reporting they have logged, in total, more than 65,000 cases.
