His Spirit and brightness were soo strong #ZensLightThe whole family, We ALL miss you young King! Forever Our Angel!

In late December 2021, the 41-year-old revealed on the Nick Cannon Show, that his youngest son had passed away due to a rare form of brain cancer.

Over the weekend I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus that was pretty much a malignant, invasive midline brain tumor, brain cancer, said a tearful Cannon on the show. Its tough.

Cannon and Zens mother, model Alyssa Scott, noticed that he had breathing issues when he was around 2-months-old and initially thought that Zen had a sinus infection.

After subsequent surgeries and procedures, Zens health took a turn for the worse around Thanksgiving.

We were having quality-of-life conversations, said Cannon to PEOPLE. He and Scott decided not pursue various treatments for cancer in order to keep their son as happy as he could possibly be.

Cannon said he was with Zen when he took his last breath on December 5, 2021.

At the moment, the 35-year-old comedian, musician, actor, director, and producer is at a NASCAR track in Memphis, where heâs at work on the eighth season of his popular MTV improv comedy series Wild âN Out.

Also in the works for this summer is season eleven of Americaâs Got Talent, which Cannon has hosted since 2009. He calls both âthe best summer jobs in the world.â

âCurrently, Iâm on 12 television shows, Iâve got movies coming out this year, music, and touring,â Cannon says. âPeople are like, ‘Man, I thought you were supposed to be slowing down.’â

He knows he needs to. Last July, his hectic schedule landed him in the hospital. He’d gotten dangerous blood clots and other lupus complications. He snapped a selfie while in his bed. His Instagram confession read, âSometimes I can be a little too bull headed and stubborn. I gotta stop running my body to the ground.â

The idea that a man should have one womanwe shouldnt have anything, he said on the show. I have no ownership over this person. Its about what exchange we can create together. Why Is Niecy Nash Replacing Nick Cannon As Host Of Season 5 Of The Masked Singer

Since Niecy Nash appeared as a guest judge during season 4 of The Masked Singer, taking over Nick Cannons hosting duties for at least half of season 5 wont be foreign territory for the actress.

In the wake of Cannon testing positive for the coronavirus several months ago, The Masked Singers production schedule had to continue as usual, which also meant the show was in need of a substitute host. The Emmy Award-winning Nash was ready to step in and help. Executive Producer James Breen voiced his delight in having Nash step in.

She had chemistry with the panel she was just a producers dream, said Breen during Deadlines virtual TCA panel. She was absolutely fantastic.
