Donald Trump reveals he has been tested for coronavirus

Ms Hicks was part of a large entourage that travelled to Ohio with Mr Trump aboard Air Force One for the debate.

Others include members of the Trump family.

A number of White House aides, including Ms Hicks, also travelled on Air Force One to Minnesota the day after the debate.

According to US media MSNBC, people who recently travelled with Ms Hicks include Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr and Kimberly Guilfoyle, Eric Trump and his wife Lara, Tiffany Trump, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, adviser Stephen Miller, attorney Rudy Giuliani, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Congressman Jim Jordan.

Four Former Presidents United To Encourage Vaccination

Former presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama are each featured in a video by the Ad Council which shows them, and the former first ladies, getting the coronavirus vaccine.

  • This vaccine means hope, said Obama in the video. It will protect you and those you love from this dangerous and deadly disease.
  • In order to get rid of this pandemic, its important for our fellow citizens to get vaccinated, Bush said.

Donald Trump Human Parasite Is Now Telling People Not To Vaccinate Their Kids Against Coronavirus

Given the opportunity to be of service to their country, most former U.S. presidents are happy to help. Then theres Donald Trump. A stunted man-child whos never done anything without first asking, Whats in it for me? the ex-president has actively hurt America since leaving office in January, largely by doing everything he can to undermine democracy, whether its his continued attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election or telling people hes going to be reinstated as POTUS in a matter of months. Also unhelpful? His decision to prolong the pandemic by telling people not to have their children vaccinated for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, NBC News reports that virtually all hospitalized COVID patients are unvaccinated, and its not just unvaccinated adults who are at risk for severe illness. In our local hospitals the kids that are getting sick are the ones that are not vaccinated, said Dr. Natasha Burgert, a pediatrician in Overland Park, Kansas. Not surprisingly, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has urged children 12 and up to get vaccinated, citing the recent increase in coronavirus-related hospitalizations.

‘i Got Called By The President’

The pandemic quickly became politicized in the United States.

Birx said that she faced “difficult” consequences for speaking publicly about the threat of the pandemic and its widespread reach to rural communities.

In August, Birx appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” and warned about the coronavirus being “extraordinarily widespread” across both rural and urban communities.

Birx then received what she describes as a “very uncomfortable” and “very difficult” phone call from the former President.

“It was a CNN report in August that got horrible pushback. That was a very difficult time because everybody in the White House was upset with that interview and the clarity that I brought about the epidemic,” Birx told Gupta.

“I got called by the President,” she said. “It was very uncomfortable, very direct and very difficult to hear.”

Gupta asked, “Were you threatened?”

Birx responded, “I would say it was a very uncomfortable conversation.”

CNN has reached out to Trump’s office for comment on the documentary.

After that, Birx started to give public warnings about the pandemic on a local level because “someone was blocking” her from speaking nationally, she said.

“Were you being censored?” Gupta asked.

Deliberate Infection And ‘body Double’ Conspiracy Theories

Trump

Republican supporters – in some cases tweeting from verified accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers – have spread a baseless rumour that the president was somehow deliberately infected with Covid-19 at some point during last week’s debate.

This goes well against the tide of early evidence showing that several top officials who have been infected, all attended a White House event announcing Mr Trump’s supreme court nominee, held several days before the debate.

Meanwhile, the suggestion that Mr Trump tested positive earlier than was originally suggested has led to rumours that he’s more ill than doctors have let on – and even that his most recent public appearances were staged with a body double.

Tweets to this effect from accounts mostly supporting the Democratic Party accumulated thousands of retweets.

“Body double” conspiracy theories are fairly common – in 2016, similar allegations were hurled at the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton.

A Pandemic Plagued With Mixed Messages

The nation’s doctors were not blind to the mixed messages that the American public has seen during the pandemic — with some officials claiming the spread of disease was not as bad while others stressed it was much worse.

This was also seen with messaging around masks.

Some public health bodies first asked people not to wear masks because there was concern about supply and not having enough for frontline workers. Then, as the world learned more about how easily the coronavirus was being transmitted, there was a sudden flip to urge everyone to mask up. Now research suggests wearing two masks, or double masking, is even better.

There also was the message from the doctors for people to stay home and for states to shut down. At the same time, the former President called for states to open. That message shocked Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Fauci, now President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser andthe only one of the doctors still workingin the White House, described Trump’s message as “a punch to the chest.”

“I said to myself, ‘Oh my goodness, what is going on here?’ It shocked me because it was such a jolt to what we were trying to do,” Fauci told Gupta.

Coronavirus task force members were sometimes kept out of public view. The task force itself, which once convened daily, was relegated to meeting once or twice a week — and engaged with the former President less often.

Trump Isn’t Making Money From Covid Coins

Coins commemorating “Donald Trump defeating Covid” on sale from an online outlet called the White House Gift Shop have no connection with the US President.

Much-shared but false posts on social media suggest that President Trump is selling the $100 coins to make money on the back of his diagnosis.

In fact, the White House Gift Shop has nothing to do with the President nor the Trump family. The website came to our attention in May when it sold coins “commemorating” the Covid-19 outbreak, and a BBC Reality Check investigation found it was not an official product.

The store was set up in 1946 by President Harry S Truman in the basement of the White House, but it was subsequently transferred to a private company which now holds the “White House Gift Shop” trademark.

False Coronavirus Claims And Rumours About Trump

Anti-disinformation unit

President Trump’s treatment for Covid-19 has spawned baseless rumours and conspiracy theories – about body doubles, oxygen tanks and more.

Many appear to be politically motivated and conflicting information from the White House over the weekend hasn’t helped.

Officials gave varying answers on when the president had been given oxygen. Unanswered questions remain over when Mr Trump last tested negative for the virus.

This left the internet to fill in the gaps with unfounded speculation. Here are some of the most viral rumours – and what we know about them.

Trump Believes In Vaccine

Trump removes mask despite coronavirus infection

The New York Post interview wasnt the first time former President Trump has tried to encourage his supporters to get the coronavirus vaccine this week.

At a Mar-a-Lago interview on Monday, Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity that hed been asked to make a commercial supporting coronavirus vaccine, because a lot of our people dont want to take vaccine.

  • Do you encourage people to get it?, Hannity asked the former president. I encourage them to take it. I do, Trump responded.
  • I had it and I took it, Trump told the Fox News host of getting the coronavirus and also receiving the vaccine. Because I believe.

Trump Attended Rallies Without Mask Requirements

During Tuesday’s debate, moderator Chris Wallace asked Trump about the dangers of holding campaign rallies with thousands of people in attendance during a pandemic.

“We had no negative, no negative effect.” Trump said, according to a transcript of the debate. “And we’ve had, 35 40,000, people at some of these rallies.”

Trump also said holding the rallies outside makes “a big difference according to the experts.”

Supporters crowded into a partially outdoor airport hangar for a Sept. 3 rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, according to USA TODAY, during which Trump criticized political opponent Biden for wearing a mask in public and dismissed questions about his own health.

Trump held another rally in an airport hangar in Freeland, Michigan, a week later, according to USA TODAY. Many of the 5,000 attendees were not wearing masks. A Sept. 14 rally in Henderson, Nevada, was held indoors, in defiance of state coronavirus restrictions.

More than 1,000 attendees witnessed Trump’s Aug. 28 acceptance speech for the Republican presidential nomination on the South Lawn of the White House, but audience seating did not comply with CDC-recommended social distancing guidelines. And most didn’t wear masks, USA TODAY reported.

Trump Adviser Hope Hicks Others Tested Positive For Covid

Despite skepticism by some on social media, the president could have been exposed to the coronavirus during any number of events over the past few weeks.

News of the president and first lady’s positive test results came after reports that White House adviser Hope Hicks tested positive, according to USA TODAY.

Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Thursday that he and the first lady “spend a lot of time with Hope.”

Hicks traveled extensively with Trump over the last week, including to the first 2020 presidential debate in Cleveland on Sept. 29. USA TODAY reported in-person attendees on Trump’s side of the auditorium refused to wear masks.

Debate moderator said a safety personnel member from the Cleveland Clinic offered masks to Trump’s family, but he was “waved away,” according to USA TODAY.

Hicks was one of 180 attendees to watch Trump announce the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court in the White House Rose Garden last week. USA TODAY reported that fewer than a third of those at the announcement wore masks.

During an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Friday, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who helped Trump prepare for the debate, said the president and others in the room were not wearing masks during preparations.

“No one was wearing masks in the room when we were prepping the president during that period of time. And the group was about five or six people, in total,” Christie said, according to USA TODAY.

How Can You Tell If A Covid

In addition to the president, nearly two dozen close White House contacts, including the first lady, have tested positive for the virus since Friday. The burst of cases forced into the spotlight the administration’s handling of the virus, as well as Trump’s general downplaying of the pandemic and his undermining of conventional health guidance to wear masks and avoid crowds to help slow the spread of the virus.

Many of those in Trump’s close contacts who recently contracted the virus also attended a Sept. 26 event held at the White House Rose Garden to announce Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

But Trump and others have been at a flurry of events in the last couple weeks, given the crucial time in the campaign.

Does Trump Really Have Covid What We Know And What We Dont

Donald Trump, Jr. says Democrats are hoping coronavirus ...

These days people all across the globe have been really worried if US President Trump really has Covid-19. Donald Trump had been seriously ignoring the gravity of the spread of the Covid-19 insisting that the end of the pandemic is in sight.

It was only on the 2nd October that President Trump revealed that he and the first lady, Melania Trump, had tested positive for Coronavirus. The president is undergoing COVID treatment at the Walter Reed Military Medical Centre in Bethesda, Washington DC and Melania Trump is being treated at the White House.

With Trump infected with Coronavirus, the entire nations leadership now seems uncertain as he will no longer be able to carry on with his campaign. With only 30 days until Election Day, Trump has temporarily withdrawn himself from the campaign trail.

Although US President Donald Trump has said in a video on Twitter that he is starting to feel good and will be back soon. However, White House physician Sean Conley has said the president is not yet out of the woods.

Donald J. Trump

The White House has not yet released an official statement explicating how long Mr. Trump would have to remain isolated, but Donald Trump has canceled his plans to fly to Florida to partake in a campaign rally.

Watch: Biden Receives Second Covid Vaccine Dose

Trump, who spent months publicly downplaying the virus’ impact and eschewing mask-wearing, announced in October that he had tested positive for Covid-19. The first lady also tested positive, but they both later recovered.

During his treatment, Trump received an experimental antibody cocktail. The CDC recommends patients wait at least 90 days after receiving the treatment before being vaccinated.

The former president, whose administration was criticized for its vaccine rollout plan, boasted during a speech Sunday at the Conservative Political Action Conference about how he pushed officials to get the vaccine developed under Operation Warp Speed. He also urged attendees to get the vaccine though he did not disclose he received the vaccine.

We took a risk because if we didnt do that, you still wouldnt have the vaccines. You wouldnt have them for a long time, he said. He later added, So everybody go get your shot.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden publicly received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine in an effort to boost confidence about its safety and efficacy. Then-Vice President Mike Pence was also vaccinated in December at a live event with the same goal.

In remarks after receiving the shot, Pence said he “wanted to step forward and take this vaccine to assure the American people that while we cut red tape, we cut no corners.”

Three of Trump’s predecessors, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama, have also said they would receive their shots in public.

Trump Says He And First Lady Tested Positive For Coronavirus

WASHINGTON President Donald Trump said early Friday that he and first lady Melania Trump have tested positive for the coronavirus, a stunning announcement that plunges the country deeper into uncertainty just a month before the presidential election.

Trump, who has spent much of the year downplaying the threat of a virus that has killed more than 205,000 Americans, said he and Mrs. Trump were quarantining. The White House physician said the president is expected to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering.

Still, Trumps diagnosis was sure to have a destabilizing effect in Washington, raising questions about how far the virus had spread through the highest levels of the U.S. government. Hours before Trump announced he had contracted the virus, the White House said a top aide who had traveled with him during the week had tested positive.

The presidents physician said in a memo that Trump and the first lady, who is 50, are both well at this time and plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.

Is Donald Trump Critical

Even if Mr. Trump does not become seriously ill, the positive test can hamper his political fortunes especially after him repeatedly ignoring the advice of the scientists regarding the ravaging effects of the COVID virus that is taking the lives of about 1,000 Americans every day.

Donald Trump to date has maintained the virus was going to disappear, and asserted that it was under control, and insisted that the country was rounding the corner to the end of the crisis. He in fact refused to wear a mask in public and has repeatedly raised questions on their effectiveness.

Donald Trump recently reopened schools in some states of the US and had outrightly dismissed health concerns. He had even ordered businesses to return to full operation. It is of grave concern how the political campaign will now take place as Donald Trump is COVID positive. We will have to wait for another update from the Presidents house to know if Donald Trump is still COVID positive or has now been tested negative.

Stay tuned to know latest news and updates.
