Damien Harris Rb New England Patriots
Injury: HamstringHarris didn’t finish the team’s Dec. 6 win over the Bills, then spent the team’s bye week at the facility rehabbing. He has been limited throughout the week of practice, and the team ruled him out for Sunday’s game. Rhamondre Stevenson would become the primary running back in Harris’ absence, especially with reserve J.J. Taylor on the reserve/COVID-19 list. — Mike Reiss
Responses To Josh Allen: Covid Stuff Is Minutia We Just Have To Do Our Jobs
This punk is gonna get tuned up.
as a stock investor in Pzifer, Johnson and Johnson, and Moderna, im offended Joshua.
Yes Josh you have to bury your head in the sand because you know you can be next as you are unvaccinated. Better hope you dont catch it as your team may not make win with you out.
Josh the diplomat. Beasley let his team down. Your personal rights should be checked at the door when directly impacts those around you.
How trivial will it be when he tests positive and misses 2 games costing his team a playoff berth or a play off game ?
The over 800,000 Americans who have died from Covid-19 and their families dont think its minutia!Stop the pandemic get vaccinated!
If you payed attention Josh is vaccinated. Hes been seen at shows were you must be vaccinated to get in.
Pretty sure Josh is vaccinated hes been doing unmasked interviews and following the rules for quite a while now.
~~~~If the Bills lose, they dont deserve to be in the playoffs, anyways
But to be honest I expect the Bills to beat the Patriots this time around.The Pats D is good, but they could barely stop Josh *with* the help of 40 mph winds.Mac Jones as a qb scares no one.
We shall see.
Bills will win this game.
Do me a favor though. Just dont do your job well this Sunday. Ok? Thanks!
Pederson Caldwell Will Be Among Candidates To Interview With Jags
A league source confirmed Sunday that owner Shad Khan is compiling a list of potential candidates to be interviewed for the head coaching job, and both former NFL head coaches Doug Pederson and Jim Caldwell are on it.
Khan can begin interviewing candidates on Tuesday because of a new NFL rule implemented this season. The Jaguars fired Urban Meyer on Dec. 16 and named offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell as interim coach for the remainder of the regular season.
Peterson, 53, began his coaching career under Andy Reid, serving as an assistant for the Eagles from 2009-12. After Reid became the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013, Pederson followed him to serve as the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator. He returned to the Eagles as their head coach in 2016, a position he held for five seasons. He led the Eagles to the first Super Bowl title in franchise history during the 2017 season. Pederson played 13 seasons in the NFL as a backup quarterback.
Caldwell was the Detroit Lions’ head coach from 2014 to 2017 and led the team to two playoff appearances in four seasons. He also led the Colts to a Super Bowl appearance in 2009, but they lost to the Saints. He had two winning seasons in three years with the Colts but was fired after going 2-14 in 2011 when Peyton Manning missed the entire season after undergoing neck surgery. Caldwell, who will turn 67 on Jan. 16, has not coached since 2019 when he was the assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins.
Allen Was Not Happy With What The Nfl Had To Deal With This Weekend
The NFL suffered quite a scare this past weekend, as a total of 77 positive tests for COVID-19 came back to 11 teams. After further review, it was concluded that these were false positive tests, and all of the original tests were rerun on Sunday night with each sample coming back negative for the coronavirus. While the fact that the league did not experience a massive outbreak is good news, there was a period of uncertainty where no one seemed to know what was going on. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was one of the players who received a false positive test, and he was pretty upset about it.
“I got a call at six in the morning saying I tested positive and honestly, it’s nothing you want to hear and I’m sitting there like, ‘I feel fine, there’s nothing wrong,'” Allen said, via the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. “I come in, try to get in the building and I have to go through protocol. I went through the test that was right here that gives you results in 15 minutes and that came back negative. I’m super frustrated that I wasn’t .”
Jon R. Cohen, M.D., the Executive Chairman of BioReference Laboratories, the testing partner of the NFL, released a statement explaining that these false-positives were due to an isolated contamination in the New Jersey lab. If there was anything good to come out of this whole situation, Allen says, it’s that the league ran across this problem before the regular season.
Twitter Had Strong Reactions To The Bills Players Attending An Indoor Event
You have to be vaccinated to see Hamilton at Sheas. So there is no question Josh Allen is vaccinated.
Seeing the trio of Bills players attend an event at a location where you must be vaccinated sparked quite the debate on Twitter.
While Buffalo News TV critic Alan Pergament was tweeted, You have to be vaccinated to see Hamilton at Sheas. So there is no question Josh Allen is vaccinated, not everyone agreed with that statement.
Yes, because big name people never get special treatment so assume away, one person tweeted in response.
While numerous people tweeted that players vaccination status should remain private, and the medias obsession with it is absurd, other people commented that if these Bills players, Allen in particular, caught COVID-19 right now, it would be devastating for the entire franchise.
Because, regardless of what you think about the health implications, the NFL treats vaccinated and unvaccinated exposures very differently and if the Bills lose half the team to COVID protocol because theyre not vaccinated it could completely f*** the season, another man responded.
For many people, their response to the controversy was merely, Who cares? but as one guy tweeted, Vaccination status can have a huge impact on winning or losing so people do care.
Josh Allen wasnt happy about being a guinea pig as one of 77 NFL people to receive false-positive COVID-19 results due to a contamination error over the weekend at a New Jersey laboratory.
The quarterback was among four Buffalo Bills players who were held out of practice Sunday to adhere to the leagues testing protocols before the tainted samples were retested and all came back negative.
I come in, try to get in the building and I have to go through protocol. I went through the test that was right here that gives you results in 15 minutes and that came back negative. Eleven NFL teams had players or staffers falsely test positive, with Allen and defensive linemen Vernon Butler, Quinton Jefferson and Harrison Phillips the four Bills players to be excluded from practicing Sunday.
Allen noted the importance of further false positives not emerging once the season begins on Sept. 10.
Im happy that it happened now instead of come season time, he said. If this were to happen on Saturday or Sunday , who knows if Id be playing. It sucks that I was kind of the guinea pig and whatnot, and part of that process, but Im glad it wasnt then. Im glad it was now and were able to kind of move past it.
