Cases Hospitalizations And Deaths Over Time
- Cases, Hospitalizations, and Deaths Over Time Data File
- Data within the lag period may change significantly due to delays in reporting and the need to deduplicate and confirm reports.
- Weekly rate per 100,000 people among the vaccinated is calculated as the number of fully vaccinated people who test positive for SARS-CoV-2 in a given week divided by the total number of people who were fully vaccinated by that week multiplied by 100,000.
- Weekly rate per 100,000 people among the not fully vaccinated is calculated as the number of not fully vaccinated people who test positive for SARS-CoV-2 in a given week divided by the total number of people who were not fully vaccinated by that week multiplied by 100,000.
- Age-adjusted rates are used to directly compare mortality and disease risk in two groups that have different age compositions. The age composition of the vaccinated population is different from the age composition of the not fully vaccinated population. For example, the vaccinated population in Minnesota is older than the not fully vaccinated population. Older adults are also at greater risk of developing, becoming hospitalized, or dying from COVID-19. Any population that has more older adults will have a higher risk of COVID-19 disease, hospitalization and death. Age adjustment is necessary in order to accurately compare fully vaccinated people to not fully vaccinated people.
- This data only includes individuals age 12 and older.
Recognize Cheap Brainwashing Propaganda For What It Is
Carlson ends his segment with a crude, cuss-filled ad brought to you by people who are smarter than we are, in which people who are supposedly doctors and nurses belittle those who read about side effects online or hear about risks from friends, and demand, while giving you the finger, that you just grow up and get the vaccine.
If you did not watch Carlsons report, you need to STOP now and watch the video below to see this unbelievable ad. It is queued up to start at the ad. It is beyond shocking that they believe they can get away with this type of abuse.
It doesnt make you laugh, Carlson says. It makes you nervous. Why are they talking to you that way? Why are they giving you the finger on TV? No matter how many fingers they give you, it doesnt change what remains true for the country.
If American citizens are going to be forced to take this vaccine, or any other medicine, they have the absolute right to know what it is and what its effects might be.
And they have an absolute right to ask that question, without being silenced or mocked or given the finger. And no amount of happy talk or coercion or appeals to false patriotism can change that. Period.
In my view, there are still so many potential avenues of harm and so many uncertainties, I would encourage everyone to do your homework, keep reading and learning, weigh the potential pros and cons, ignore all pressure tactics and take your time when deciding whether to get any of these COVID-19 gene therapies.
Over $2b In Contracts Awarded In White House’s At
The White House has awarded over $2 billion in contracts so far as part of its plan to ship millions of free COVID-19 rapid antigen tests to Americans.
Among the most recent, three companies — IHealth Labs, Roche Diagnostics Corp. and Abbott — were selected out of 20 bids to manufacture a combined 380 million tests, with completion dates by March 14, according to a Pentagon advisory released Friday.
IHealth was awarded a $1.27 billion contract, Roche a $340 million contract and Abbott a $306 million contract, with all funds coming from the American Rescue Act, the Pentagon said.
The federal government had previously announced contracts for 48.3 million tests worth a combined $341 million.
Altogether, that amounts to about $2.2 billion for 428 million at-home rapid tests, which are part of a batch of 500 million the White House said it plans to ship out over the course of the next 60 days.
On Thursday, President Joe Biden announced that the White House would also ship out another 500 million at-home tests, bringing the total to 1 billion. A timeline for the second batch of tests hasn’t been announced yet.

What About Vaccine Injury
Vaccine adverse effects can happen. Some people have experienced allergic reactions after getting a COVID-19 vaccine. The rate of anaphylaxis was less than 5 people per million vaccinated. Almost all of these severe allergic reactions happen within 30 minutes after vaccination. When you get your vaccine, you’ll be asked to stay put for 15 to 30 minutes. That way, you can be given treatment in the rare chance you need it.
Remember when the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was paused temporarily? That was because our vaccine safety systems were working as they should. Medical experts used the monitoring system to identify a trend of extremely rare blood clots after vaccination. How rare? As of Oct. 27, more than 15.5 million doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccines had been given in the United States. About 48 people have developed confirmed thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome . Women younger than 50 should be aware of their increased risk of this rare adverse event. Two other COVID-19 vaccines Pfizer and Moderna have not shown a risk of TTS after vaccination. If you recently received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, please contact your doctor if you develop any of the following symptoms within three weeks of receiving your vaccine:
- Shortness of breath
How Many People Have Died From Covid
The most important metric is the number of people that have died from Coronavirus. Different countries have different ways of measuring deaths some, like the UK, only include deaths in their daily figures when someone has tested positive from the virus and died within 28 days. Other countries dont have a time-limitation in their reported deaths, and some, such as Belgium, include deaths where coronavirus was suspected.
One way of comparing different countries death tolls from Covid-19 is to look at the number of people who have died above and beyond what we would expect in a usual year. This measure is called excess deaths and while it may include people that have died from causes other than direct Covid-19, it offers a chance to compare different countries using the same metric.
There are also disparities between the number of cases recorded in each country in large part due to differences in testing. The graph below is therefore best for comparing the direction countries are heading in, rather than the differences between them.
You can view the figures raw, or compared to population, in order to take into account the different sizes of each country.

Each week, Dylan Scott guides you through the fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic and the health care policies that matter most.
Yet epidemiologists and health officials are sounding the alarm about another tsunami of infections in hopes people will take more precautions, and to help hospitals and health workers prepare to care for the sickest patients. Omicron could be just as deadly as delta even if it causes milder disease, Celine Gounder, an infectious disease specialist who has advised the White House, told reporters this week. Considering the potential impact on the health care system is also crucial as decision-makers weigh another round of restrictions closing schools, banning large gatherings, reimposing mask mandates.
In one of the most comprehensive forecasts to date, researchers from the Covid-19 Modeling Consortium at the University of Texas at Austin on Friday chalked out 18 different scenarios for omicron. Their study was not peer-reviewed, but the findings show that the US is facing yet another dangerous variant while the conditions for spreading it the holiday season are at their most favorable.
Everything weve seen so far growth in Denmark, growth were seeing in the United States, in Canada, in the UK suggests that these scenarios are actually very plausible … for our country, said Spencer Fox, associate director of the UT Covid-19 Modeling Consortium.
Answered From Infectious Diseases Expert James Lawler Md Mph:
No. Here’s some context to explain the confusion.
After clinical trials, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System is how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention monitors vaccine safety.
VAERS is set up to capture potential adverse events caused by vaccines. It is the best tool we have to find what may be previously unrecognized and extraordinarily rare adverse events that may eventually be linked.
VAERS cannot and does not determine whether a vaccine caused something. The CDC states this clearly in their disclaimer: “A report to VAERS does not mean that the vaccine caused the adverse event, only that the adverse event occurred some time after vaccination.” The disclaimer continues, “The reports may contain information that is incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental or unverifiable.”

Important Things To Know About Vaers
- VAERS is an early warning system used to monitor adverse events that happen after vaccination. VAERS is the frontline system of a comprehensive vaccine safety monitoring program in the United States. It is one of several systemspdf icon CDC and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration use to help ensure vaccines used in the United States, including COVID-19 vaccines, are closely monitored for safety.
- VAERS gives vaccine safety experts valuable information so they can assess possible vaccine safety concerns, including the new COVID-19 vaccines. It is especially useful for detecting unusual or unexpected patterns of health problems that might indicate a possible safety problem with a vaccine.
- If a health problem is reported to VAERS, that doesnt mean that the vaccine caused the problem. It warns vaccine safety experts of potential problems that they may need to assess, and it alerts them to take further action, as needed.
- Hundreds of millions of people in the United States have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The majority of reports to VAERS after COVID-19 vaccination have been non-serious adverse events. CDC provides timely updates on selected adverse events reported after COVID-19 vaccination.
Youre More Likely To Die From Being Struck By Lightning Than A Covid
Scientists investigate and pore through every individual report of death to verify the true cause.
To date, the CDC has verified nine deaths causally associated with the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. These deaths are attributed to thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome , which causes blood clots in large blood vessels and low platelets.
So what I tell my patients is that youre more likely to die from being struck by lightning than you are to die from an adverse reaction to this vaccine, Morris said.
According to the National Weather Service, 17 people died by lightning strikes in the United States in 2020.
Because of the nine deaths associated with the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, the CDC recommended in December 2021 that Americans choose the mRNA vaccines over Johnson & Johnson.
As of January 6, 2022, the CDC and FDA have identified 57 confirmed reports of people who received the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine and later developed TTS.
More than 17.7 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine have been administered in the United States.
This is exceedingly rare, and I would still say that there is benefit to that vaccine, but with our supply in the United States, in particular being what it is, there are safer options, Morris said.

The Continuing Urgency Of Vaccination Efforts
Our findings highlight the ongoing tragedy of preventable death and hospitalization occurring among unvaccinated Americans. Daily vaccination rates have ticked up recently but only recently to 60 percent of the U.S. population a lower rate than that achieved by dozens of other countries. As immunity wanes and breakthrough infections continue to emerge, it is clear we must vaccinate to many more people building on the tremendous, though mostly invisible, successes the U.S. vaccination program has accomplished thus far.
As the Omicron variant begins to spread and the Delta variant surge continues, our results point to the tremendous power of vaccination to reduce disease and death from COVID-19. Sadly, they also highlight the ongoing tragic consequences of failing to vaccinate every eligible American.
The Most Widely Believed False Statement Was That ‘the Government Is Exaggerating’ The Number Of Covid
Perhaps the most pernicious pieces of misinformation have to do with the perceived severity of COVID-19 itself. The most widely believed false statement was: “The government is exaggerating the number of COVID-19 deaths.”
Hamel says that underestimating the severity of COVID-19 appears to be a major reason why Republicans in particular have fallen behind in vaccination: “We’ve seen lower levels of personal worry among Republicans who remain unvaccinated,” she says. “That’s a real contrast with what we saw in communities of color, where there was a high level of worry about getting sick.”

Is The Pfizer Vaccine For Ages 5 Through 11 The Same Formula As For Ages 12+
It’s a different dosage with a different buffer. It’ll come in a syringe with an orange cap, rather than the purple cap intended for ages 12 and up.
The clinical trials tested different doses for kids 5 through 11. “The studies indicated that a smaller dose was effective for younger kids,” says Dr. Simonsen. “They found that kids’ immune systems responded powerfully to a smaller stimulus.”
The authorized dose for children is a third of the dose fully approved for adults . Unlike some medications, vaccine dosages are based on age and not on size or weight. For example, the hepatitis B vaccine is half the dosage for kids, compared to adults.
The buffer is also different in the vaccine for younger kids. A buffer is a watery solution that keeps a vaccine “fresh” and ready for use. Pfizer changed the buffer for the pediatric formulation to make it easier to distribute in small clinics, where parents are used to getting vaccines. The pediatric formulation can last up to 10 weeks in a standard refrigerator, rather than the previous 1 month. The adult formulation for the Pfizer vaccine has not changed.
How Many People Are In Hospital With Coronavirus
The European Centre for Disease Control publishes daily hospital occupancy rates for a selection of European countries. We have added in several other countries around the world from a variety of different sources where we can find them.
The number of people hospitalised with the disease is a good way of tracking the epidemic over time, as it doesnt rely as much on testing and the way of measuring has generally remained constant over the pandemic.
It is also key to easing restrictions, as many countries will only do so once they are sure their health systems will not be overwhelmed.

News 4 Fact Check: Examining Claims That Thousands Of People Died From Covid
ST. LOUIS — Websites and social media posts have been misusing a federal government database and spreading false information claiming thousands of people have died from taking the COVID-19 vaccine. Experts tell News 4 that’s just not true.
News 4 recently received an email asking us why we weren’t reporting the deaths from the “so-called” COVID-19 vaccines. The email pointed to a database called the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System, or VAERS.
The database was created back in 1990 and is accessible online. It allows the public and healthcare providers to report the side effects of any vaccine. Interest in it has piqued during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the last several months, experts say the database is being used inappropriately to spread false information about the vaccines.
Social media posts and videos, legitimate-looking articles, and even Tucker Carlson on Fox News, have all been using VAERS to spread misinformation about the vaccines being directly connected to people dying. Experts say that’s highly problematic.
There is no reason to believe those deaths are caused by the vaccine itself, Dr. Laura Morris said, a physician with the University of Missouri.
Heres what they say is the problem: VAERS is intended to be a massive and passive data collection system. If you feel a sore arm after the COVID-19 shot or a headache, you can make a report on VAERS. Anyone can do so, including doctors.
How Many Doses Have Been Donated By Each Country
These charts show the cumulative number of doses donated to the COVAX initiative by different countries, broken down by whether the donations have only been announced, actually donated, or delivered to the recipients. This is only available for a select number of countries for which the COVID-19 Task Force reports the necessary data.
The three following charts show the number of doses donated, adjusted for:
COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access
COVAX is a worldwide initiative aimed at equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines directed by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations , and the World Health Organization . COVAX coordinates international resources to enable low-to-middle-income countries equitable access to COVID-19 tests, therapies, and vaccines.
